Booking, Payment & Cancellation

Reserving your seat

To join a motorcoach trip, complete the registration form for that trip and pay the deposit. Your seat is held once the deposit is received.

Final payment

Each trip has its own final payment due date, set by the company operating that trip. It is shown on that trip’s page on this website.

After your deposit you may pay in full, in installments of any size, or on your own schedule — as long as the full balance is paid by that date. If you book far in advance, that can mean months to pay it off however works for you.

If seats are still available after the final payment date, you may still register up to three weeks before departure, and payment in full is required at registration. All reservations close 21 days prior to departure.

How to pay

You can pay online by credit card or bank transfer through TravelJoy, or by mailing a check.

Convenience fees go directly to the card company and the payment processor. I Travel With Miki does not receive any part of a convenience fee.

Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis as payments are received, so the most reliable way to secure your seat is to pay the deposit by credit card.

If you need to cancel

All cancellation requests must be emailed to bustrips@itravelwithmiki.com with your name and trip details. Cancellations cannot be processed by phone or text.

Bus trips. Cancellations made at least 14 business days before departure are eligible for a refund, excluding the nonrefundable deposit. Cancellations made within 14 business days of departure are nonrefundable.

International trips and cruises. Cancellation charges are set by the cruise line or tour operator running that trip, and are shown on your booking.

Deposits are nonrefundable whenever you cancel. A deposit may, however, be transferred to another available trip: you must select the new trip within one week of requesting the transfer, or the deposit is forfeited. A reservation may also be transferred to another traveler at no extra charge, up until room assignments and travel arrangements are finalized with the tour operator.

If a tour operator cancels a trip, we will coordinate with them on your options, including a refund or a transfer to another trip. Trips generally require a minimum of 30 to 32 travelers; if that number is not reached, the trip may be canceled and all money refunded.

Canceling your trip does not cancel a travel insurance policy. Insurance is purchased directly from the insurance company, so any change or cancellation to a policy must be made by calling that company. See our Travel Insurance page for their phone numbers.

Who operates your trip

I Travel With Miki arranges group travel with tour operators and cruise lines including Diamond Tours, White Star Tours and various cruise partners. Those companies operate the trip, and their own terms, schedules and conditions of carriage apply to your booking in addition to this page.

Changes to itineraries

Itineraries, hotels, attractions and departure times can change for reasons outside our control, such as weather, road conditions, closures or operator scheduling. We will let you know as soon as we do.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is optional and is not included in the price of any trip. We strongly recommend it. To be covered for pre-existing conditions, most plans must be purchased within 14 days of your first trip payment.
